iPod Is the Bluetooth experience on iPod Nano last-gen identical to iPhones?

I still use an iPod Nano - the last generation before it got discontinued.

The other day, I was at an Apple Store, and I tried pairing it with the Beats Solo3. For some reason, the music sounded more off than I’m used to. That said, it never occurred to me to try the wired connection as well at that time.

Would more higher-end Bluetooth headphones play well with something dated like the iPod Nano?
