Hi, just seen a youtube video of the Iphone 15 Plus setup. There is a new menu in setup called
Appearance where you now have 3 option to make text and icons bigger. Default, medium and large.

On my Iphone 13 Pro max I just have option of large text and default in display zoom. What is the difference now we have 3 options?

If I set appearance to large on 15 plus does that make the font size bigger than on older iphones with just 2 display zoom options.

Thanks. :)

Those three options only appear in the initial setup. Once your phone is setup and you go into Display options, it's the same two choices. No idea why. I talked to Apple support and mentioned this and he didn't know either. Our guess it's three "presets" based on the Display Zoom setting and some Text size settings. No idea though. The only way would be to reset your phone three times and try all three settings.

Thanks for the Info. Strange you only have 2 options after setup. If you set It to large in initial setup and then choose large text in display zoom. Surely the font would be bigger than choosing default In initial setup then picking large text in display zoom?

Not sure If you get this option on setup on older iphnoes or if it's just the 15 series.

I feel like it's new to the 15. I have no way of knowing what the other two settings do. I set it to Default on the initial setup. Had to wipe it because I had trouble with my eSim when switching carriers, and didn't feel like experimenting, so chose Default again the 2nd time.

I was just about to make this thread!!

I had the same question. I went through that screen like 10 times when setting up my 15 PM in the AppleStore on launch day(spent 20 min on pre-order day trying to get my order to go-though so couldn't ship it and only pick-up. The whole process at the AppleStore was a nightmare because my specialist was clueless. Had to do his portion for him after redoing the whole process he effed up the first time. Then he still had to go ask questions and he killed my order and had to start over. was ridiculous.)

Anyway. AT&T was failing to activate my eSIM so I went through setup A LOT. (ended up thinking to turn-off wi-fi on my old phone, reboot, turn off wifi again, make a phone call for sure over cellular, and then try to activate the SIM on the new phone... WORKED!)

So the final time going through setup, the "Default" size was picked when every other time I selected "Medium." Of course that time the eSIM activated and now that option is no where to be found.

That is insane to me. I want to try Medium, but now it's impossible. C'mon Apple.
