I want to buy an Apple Watch but I just learned that you must have iOS 10 < in order for it to be compatible. This actually works out bc it seems many new apps require iOS 9 or 10 as well, and I would like the faster processor of upgrading to the 7.

However, it is very important to me to keep my jailbreak and I've been told that as of now there is no jb that works w the 7. I saw someone on here say recently that there is almost definitely not going to be another jailbreak until iOS 11. I feel like they always say that and there ends up being one not that long after. What do you recommend I do?

i would say so. Lucas guy who made jailbreak ios 10.2 said this will be last jailbreak for while. i have an apple watch series 1 that i cant use with my 6s io 9.0.2. i will sell the watch. Jailbreak is far more important. will hold up on iphone 7 also. 6s good enough that i can wait for 8.

What are the odds that if I buy a 6S now it will have 10.2 on it?

Is the 6S a lot faster than the 6? Is there any way to upgrade my 6 to 10.2?
The 6s is noticeably faster than the 6. No, there's no way to update a 6 to 10.2.

Yes it is. Even my SE is faster then my 6+. You can only restore your phone to a version that Apple is currently signing. As of yesterday, that was 10.2.1, 10.3 and 10.3.1.

Ok, but if I get a 6S preloaded w 10.2 I CAN downgrade my watch to be compatible?

you can't downgrade the watch. only apple will be able to do that.
Can they do it in store? If not how long will that take? And what are the odds the watch will already be compatible with 10.2?
