iPod Is the HD on my third gen iPod starting to die?

So, I got a third gen iPod and I use it every day like a boss, but today when I plugged it into iTunes it rebooted into a screen with a disc and a magnifying glass and a loading bar before booting itself into the proper iPod menu while the hard drive clicked a few times.

I've never seen that screen before, so I'm a bit worried. Does this mean the HD is heading to the end of its life?
