is the included dvi/vga adapter new?

Hi,

This questions comes a little late. I bought my new MBP c2d a two or so weeks ago but I noticed it comes with what I think is a dvi-to-vga adapter. I had the impression that the MBP's were being sold without these and since i need to give presentations I was planning to buy one. I was then pleasantly surprised to find one included with my MBP. Is this something that was changed with the MBP c2d or was I just wrong in assuming this wasn't included or was I wrong in figuring out what this adapter in my MBP's box is (I haven't tried using it yet)?

My iBook came with a VGA adapter when I bought it 2 years ago. It is the other adapters you have to buy separately, but I think they have always included the VGA one.

It has always been included with the MBP. The MacBook does not include a miniDVI to VGA adapter, you have to buy this separately.
