Is the iOS 11 Public Beta stable enough to install to my daily driver?

Is it stable enough meaning that the lag/stuttering was reduced, the battery life was greatly improved and all the major/minor bugs were fixed?

When iOS 11 Dev Beta 1 came out I installed it to my daily driver (literally the worst decision in my life) and it was horrible, lots of lag and the OS was just chugging down my battery as fast as it could. Luckily I had my important things backed up so I downgraded back to iOS 10. If it's stable enough, I'm willing to give it another chance!

Sounds like you shouldn't be running betas at all if the above is your expectation. No massively different features so I'd say wait till September.

Starting from PB2 things are usually quite good, but diminished battery life and the occasional restart/bug is the whole point of betas and will be there at least until the end of august. Battery life is btw always horrible the first day you install a beta because it's processing all kinds of stuff on the background.

Sounds like you're not the person who should be running a PB.

I've noticed slightly more battery drain and some of the "annoying" bugs....but using it as a daily diver without any major issues. I'm loving the new UI/Fonts in Mail and Calendar apps. Much easier to read for me.

Relly just wanted to give Maps a good run through over the next month.

And beta 1 was pretty stable for betas compared to those in the past. Only iOS 10 beta 1 was more stable. No beta will give you better battery life than the previous public release version. Just stay away from betas, they aren't meant for you.

I honestly have run beta's in the part and currently IOS 11 on my daily driver. I don't use a ton of apps and as long as those few apps work, I am ok with the risk. If the apps I need do not work, I just restore.

The battery drain also isn't a big issue because I have an SE, and it easily last a day.

To the OP, I wouldn't do it with the 6. To give a little insight into the battery drain. I am currently at 63%. On IOS 10 I would be around 85%.

I have the public beta going on my 7 and mostly everything is working as it should. If you can handle small graphical glitches here and there and have no problem with restarting now and then I say go for it.
