I was just curious as you phrased your post as if this was safe to assume this feature was coming. Was it announced anywhere? I can’t remember this ever being mentioned by Apple. Personally I doubt it’s high on Apple’s list of priorities.

I wish it were true, but knowing Apple I think there's a snowflake's chance in hell of that.

Apple wants us all individually tied into our own individual machines and accounts.

I would love to have an iPad that lies around in the living room and both my husband and I could log in to and check our own accounts and so on. But… nah… not happening.

Maybe you’re thinking of ‘Shared iPad’, which can only be used in education and businesses using MDM.

Shared iPad allows more than one user to sign in to an iPad. The iPad must be supervised before Shared iPad can be used.
