Im curious as to when you look at each ipad vs Ipad pro what justifies Apple calling one a pro...they have the same hardware as the regular ipad only difference is Apple decided not to open certain SOFTWARE on the other...

The term ‘Pro’ represents the highest specs possible for that specific product. That’s really what it is, aside just from the title. Really what it comes down to, is what the user needs it for and how it benefits them.

I recommend you read this board in order to better familiarise yourself with the iPad products. The Pro most certainly has different hardware but runs the same OS as the regular iPad.

Hardware is definitely not the same. iPad Pro’s have double the ram and a faster memory bus for transferring files off or on the iPad. The A10x is a 6 core chip vs the A10’s 4 core design. The iPad Pro also has more then double the gpu compute capability so you would see a massive difference in photo and graphic design apps. An artist made a solid video about this where he choked the basic iPad on a big project and brush size and the Pro was smooth as butter.

Ok. Looking at the sight I was thinking it was just ram and that’s it
 
I believe Pro meant it could use the Pencil and Smart Keyboard. Obviously the 2018 iPad pees on that particular bonfire.....
