Is the iPad supposed to have 8KB of pictures off the bat?

Before you sync anything, it says I have 8KB of photos.

??? Just making sure.

Might be for the included wallpapers.

Eight kilobytes? That's too small to be any image except maybe a teeny jpg. More likely it's the directory itself; some kind of minimum size.

I am amazed you are worried enough over 8kb to start a post.

I would guess it is the directory though, think mine was the same.

Obviously this was a returned unit otherwise there would be nothing stored in pictures. Probably has a light leak or yellow tint on the screen. Maybe even dead pixels.
