Hello I'm looking to purchase a used iPad 3G, the seller is saying that I just need to change the credit card info & I can have the unlimited plan still....is this true?

thank you

It depends on the plan. You can buy your own plan, if that "used" plan does not work though. You can also contact AT&T, if that is the supplier of the "used" plan, to see if it is transferrable.

Btw, you thread title has some kind of syntax hiccup - wouldn't something like "Is an unlimited data plan from XYZ for a used iPad 3G transferable to me?" work better?

Yes, the seller is correct as long as he gives you the email address and password associated with the account. Of course the seller can easily change the email address to your email address and change the password to something that you can change when you receive it.
