Hi everyone,
Today while doing a bit of searching on Google, I found a few websites that have stories of iPhones catching on fire. From what I read they were all 3G's.

I hope to get an iPhone 3GS for Christmas, but my concern is if its going to be safe. I certanly dont want to lose my house if the phone caught fire in the night.

Maybe someone can help me?
Thanks, MagicalAquaX.

You needen't worry about it. The fire might of been caused by the owner tampering with the phone and I doubt it would set your house on fire as you would have it with you and when it's in the house you will be near it or it might be turned off.

Yes. Fires occur like 3 in a million iPhones and it's conclusively due to the users.
