iPhone 8/Plus Is the iPhone 8 the last iPhone that uses a 6-7 design?

What would be 5 generations going on 11 total, nearly 50% of iPhones 2014-2019 (if it has one final push before being put to rest) would be SEVERE EXHAUSTION imo

I hope so. The 8 Plus is called the 6sss+ for a reason. Yes, it's still a great design, but consumers are expecting more from Apple because they've made the public accustomed to a new design every two years.

It's rumored for next year a 6.1 LCD model, followed by a 5.8/6.5 OLED model. The 6.1 LCD model is supposed to replicate no home button and iPhone X features. So the overall current design and home button from what we have been used to seeing is likely not going to be updated, unless Apple does release an updated iPhone SE.

To me I think the X is pretty much using that design as well, except for the front and position of the cameras.

Yep. Apart from the front, the side, and the back of it, it is pretty much same design lol

I think going forward, all iPhone and iPad's are going to take on the X design and just minor improvements through years. I think the notch is to stay for at least few years but it may get thinner and less noticeable. Bezels may get even more minimal and they may manage to make the rare camera less bulge.

I hope all new iPhones to come will have the X design. The 6-8 design is now stale and boring. I also hope Apple incorporates the same X design to their iPad and iPod line up. People may not like the "notch" on the X but it is now Apple's design, no more huge bezels at the top and bottom please.

I hope so. I think the only option would be an SE 2 based on the design to keep the people who need to hold onto old technology happy for a bit more. I'd likely push my parents in that direction.

Successor to the SE might be. Mini 8 with 7 specs. Last to have home button (fake one) with Touch ID.

I like how people are hoping Apple keeps using the new X design. Yeah, because it's still NEW. And since when did Apple not reuse a design? Wait by 2019 and people start whining it's the same design for three years in a row!

Anything new becomes old and stale. It's like eating your favorite food every day and getting sick to your stomach for eating it all the time.

No matter how much some people pretend that 6-8 is a timeless & classic design, it is stale and boring now. Thanks to some competition, you now have the 'X' design which will permeate Apple products for another 3-4 years!
