As evidence, I present to you the Apple Newton MessagePad 2100 and the Motorola Marco circa 1995. We've come a long way baby!

I think their only connection is the fact that both iPhone and newton are apple products and both are mobile. Think it ends there, although I'm a big fan of the newton...all variations of them. Go newton!

It's amazing how much smaller it is yet how much more is packed into it. I wonder what Apple would have thought if you could take a 3GS back in time to when the Message Pad was cutting edge tech :)

What modifications did you do to it?
Just the icons on the bottom. Originally it had just three. Two small ones and one large centre one. Because of the way it had been "fiddled"(adding transparent pixels to the icons) to get the three buttons to fit, it made it so you had to touch the screen away from the side icons to get them to work. If you pressed directly on them nothing happened.

Plus the original had a little tab thing on the lower right that is suppose to be a handle to pull the next screen across. I got rid of that too :)
