Is the iPhone N Networking?

I have the iPhone set up for wi-fi in my house but chose the standard g networking router I have. I want to put it on my Airport Base Station Extreme which is n networking but only if it's 'n' networking since it would slow down my network speed. Any idea what speed of wi-fi it uses?
