Or it is the same and the increase is just the wide axis? I use my phone mostly on portrait mode . . So I really look forward to any increase on the narrow axis . .

Anyone on site to kindly help me compare?

It's the same width: 2.69" (Plus) vs. 2.71" (Max).

In the real world (and Apple will never admit this), the iPhone Plus has a lot more usable real estate than the iPhone X - because the notch area in E.g. Safari cannot be used for content, only time and battery. So the “real” screen area starts at an imaginary line below the notch.

With this, I expect real estate in the Max to be very similar to the Plus. (Apple’s demo today cropped a large portion of the photo in the notch area to “prove” the new iPhone is larger, which I find dishonest).

The Max has significantly more display area than the Plus

12.90 (Plus) vs 15.90 (Max) sq in.

The notch is about 0.3 sq in. So the Max has over 15.5 sq inches.

However, I agree the X and Xs have a smaller display area than Plus.
