I just upgraded to an iPad Pro 11” M1 and also an iPhone 13 at the same time. Is it just me or is the OLED screen on the iPhone that much better?

I used to always grab my Air 3 over my SE2020 for the screen real estate and better resolution, but now I’m noticing I’m doing the complete opposite.

Someone tell me I’m crazy and there isn’t that much of a difference 😄

Far superior on multiple levels. 8-bit vs 10-bit for starters. OLED far superior viewing angles. Also more contracts Icons on my 13 ProMax seem to be almost 3D like they are floating. No trail or blur of text when scrolling because Apple is driving the OLED faster so text doesn’t seem to smear when scrolling although it can be eliminated on the 11” iPad Pro by tricking it by launching an intense 3 D app that engages the GPU. And scrolling text then because a lot smoother on the iPad Pro.

LCD can still look great.. I've had Samsung phones for years with the best OLED displays on the market.yet I still think the Tab S7 LCD display looks gorgeous. I experience.absolutely no drop in quality when I swap from one to the other.

Maybe it’s just me, but I think the screen on my 11” IPP is great. Granted, I love my 14 Pro screen too, but the IPP screen holds it own.

Besides one screen being oled and the other lcd I'm assuming you have them setup the same as far as display settings and brightness goes so I agree with @nburwell. The 11 Pro has an excellent display and I've seen it side by side with the 13Pro Max (which has a better display than the 13) and although there was a difference, it wasn't anything I'd complain about

Of course there's a noticeable difference between a great LCD screen and a great OLED screen if you're scrutinizing, but if we're using relative terms like "not very good," then I'd rate the 11-inch iPad Pro's screen as excellent compared to the screen of almost every other device in the world.

What would make you reach for your phone over the iPad? They aren’t different enough for me to do that. When it comes to displays, screen size is its own form of quality.

Everything on my iPhone 13 just looks so much nicer/sharper.

I made the mistake of testing out a 12.9” iPP at Best Buy today and the mini led just blows my 11” iPP out of the water. WOW is all I have to say, such a nice display.

Apple really messed up by not offering it on the smaller model.

I have both and if the miniLED looked better to you in the bright store, it will look even better in more moderate lighting.

I don’t find comparing a phone screen and a tablet screen useful in the real world. It’s not so different from comparing a phone with a TV. I use tablets and TV’s precisely because of their size and form factor.

This is why I won’t upgrade my 2018 11” Pro, which I love using but would like the better miniled display from the 12.9 (or oled).

Frankly I don't see any difference between my iPhone OLED, iPad Pro mini led and lcd screens in day to day use. Suppose it is there if I looked for it but they are close enough that it isn't important to me.

we have a 14 pro max , 12.9 M1 and an 11 M1 in our family and IMHO the 11 inch looks a bit less vivid and with worse black levels than the 12.9 and the 14 pro max . The miniled in the 12.9 really does a great impression of Oled . Black levels are amazing and it’s super bright . There is some blooming in a dark room but it doesn’t really bother me . I definitely gravitate toward the 12.9’s display vs the other two . The 11 inch is still a freaking powerhouse though, and it’s display is still great
