Is the KOTOR 1.03c patch necessary?

Hi, I recently bought Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and I was wanting to know if using Aspyr's 1.03c patch would improve my playing experience. I am currently using a 1.42ghz PowerPC G4 eMac with 1GB RAM and a Radeon 9600 graphics card. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

It's a patch... I can't imagine it would worsen your playing experience. Patching is generally a good idea.

Sometimes they can bust stuff up though. After installing a GTA San Andreas patch my previous save files no longer worked and I couldn't run mods. And a recent Bootcamp update by our lovely Apple resets my F-key preferences if I disconnect the keyboard.
But OP, you should be okay. Be sure to backup any saves first though.
