Is the LCD screen of the 2017 13 Inch MacBook Pro the same as the screen in the latest M1 13 Inch Macbook Pro? im thinking about selling my 2017 macbook pro and upgrading to the m1 13 inch macbook pro but is the screen any better on the m1 macbook pro or is it the same resolution etc?

Appears to be the same specs in resolution, brightness, color space.
i see, then maybe it isn't worth it for me to upgrade then. the sharpness of content on my current intel macbook pro isn't the greatest, perhaps its the built in weak graphic card thats the reason then?

Could be the scaling. Some scaling has slightly noticeably less sharpness. You could try different scalings in your System Preferences > Displays. Of course, different scaling makes everything bigger or smaller too, so sharpness is usually not the main factor in choosing it.

If you want a better screen, the 14" is a step up in more ways than one, in a package that's still compact.

yeah but the 14 is much more expensive, as far as scaling. the resolution on my macbook pro 13 inch is set to the optimal resolution for the display "default for display".

I think the default is "looks like 1440x900." Try the scaling that looks like 1280x800. Because of the way scaling works, it might look a bit sharper for some things. Will get less on the screen, though.
