I'm currently looking at the Macbook Air, and thinking of getting the 13' 1.86ghz, 4gb. I want to check - would it be able to easily edit video from my Kodak Zi8 at 720p 60fps? If so great.

Just to add on further, I'm going to Uni later on (Sept 2011) and doing a TV production course. Do you think it would be ok for that? I think at a later date I may get an iMac for power hungry tasks. I mean, would a MBP be suited better. be great to get an idea.

Thanks.

The MBA will handle the footage, as it transcodes it to a .mov container using the Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC) anyway, thus it uses less CPU, but more storage capacity (approx. 25MB/hour - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2704).
But the MBP might be better suited due to a faster processor, which might save you time if you have to transcode a lot of video.
It also has a Firewire interface, which is twice as fast for an external HDD, which is recommended to use as scratch disk for video editing.

Have you also taken a look at MRoogle, since that question may have been asked several times?
