Hey everyone!

Im planning on getting an 11 inch iPad Pro in the next few weeks and I’m really excited about it! I am thorn however on the Magic Keyboard. Here’s my scenario.
I own a MacBook Pro and planning to use the iPad Pro actively with it (sidecar, drawing with the Apple Pencil). I don’t have the intention to let my iPad replace my MacBook at the moment. but I do want to get a case for it. I’m enticed by the Magic Keyboard because of the trackpad and mostly cause it could be a nice way to have a sort of dock for the iPad (and some sort of wireless charging). I know that the term ‘worth it’ is subjective to anyone, but does someone have the same scenario as me? Do you feel like the Magic Keyboard added something to your experience?

If money isn’t an issue for you, I’d say go for it as it’s a great accessory for the IPP. However, if you’re watching your money at all, I would say don’t get it, as - for your use purpose - it sounds like you really don’t need it. I think it’s too expensive a purchase to be a glorified docking station.

I agree with both of the above statements. I use my iPad in a similar case and the Magic Keyboard that I bought last week will be returned shortly.

I think it really makes sense for those who are actively trying to replace a laptop with an iPad, and not necessarily those who are using iPad as a secondary or tertiary device.
I own a Smart Keyboard Folio from before anyway, but the draw was the integrated trackpad and not the keyboard — both of which are good but not worth the $300 for my limited usage.
