Is the mini's 3MB shared L2 cache (vs the Imac's 6mb one) a major bottleneck?

I must be honest, I have no idea what an L2 cache is or does, but the fact that the Imac's is double the mini's makes me wonder what the implications are here. Can someone explain?

D-oh, thanks. The big question is, are the differences between 3mb and 6mb caches significant for things like light video editing and photoshop?
