Just curious. Since only the internal guts have been updated, does it matter if one puts hands on an old iMac or the new iMac at the Apple Store?

To observe any of the updates (processing power, etc) wouldn't one have to somehow bring along or access an application that would demonstrate the new iMac's upgrades?

Not saying it can't be done. Just don't know how.

I was thinking people might want to know because then they could just buy one on the spot instead of waiting another week or two.

Oh, Okay, that makes sense! Didn't think of that.

But, are you implying that people actually buy not BTO iMacs? :D:D

Not in the UK store that I visited today.

They did have £100 off the base 5K though. Not in the app. Not on the site. Only in the Pricing application on the Mac.

If you go to the Apple store you’ll see the earliest receiving date is March 27-29. The earliest free shipping receiving date is March 28-April 1. So availability seems to be toward the end of next week or later.
