I have read conflicting reports on whether or not the current Mac Min has a dual-channel memory controller or not? Does anyone have any info on this?

(sorry if this has been asked before, a search didn't turn anything up)

Thanks, Another question does anyone know if the 9400M is running at the full 580mhz or is it downclocked at all on the Mini?

Sorry for the stupid questions.

I couldn't tell you. Considering that this is a Mini and not a battery operated device, I imagine so, but the system profiler doesn't mention this and it'd need to be tested.

Nvidia System Tools installed on a Boot Camped XP claims GPU core 350 Mhz/shaders 800 Mhz

Thanks for looking into that for me, I'm hoping that those figures are an underclocked 2D mode.

I'm asking these questions as I need a system that is small & cheap to run.
The system would also have to do some gaming though (dawn of war, C&C3 COD4 ect...) having done some research the 9400 is just about fast enough. (at 580/1400mhz that is)

That's why I thought I'd ask as I know Apple has a habit of underclocking their IGP's. 350/800 isn't going to cut it I'm afraid :(

I don't think they are, the utility says 2D and 3D mode clock speeds are the same.

9400m chipsets are never 580/1400 though, they're specced for up to 450/1100.
