Apple claims to not have csam scanning for iCloud photos in the current version. There is a parental control to look for sexual explicit content in IMessages though.

So according to Apple, this is still something they're planning to drop into an upcoming iOS 15 update.

They took a "Feature" of the CSAM idea and baked it into 15.2. This was the feature that warns of sensitive photos if sent via text if enabled. Apple has since removed all references of CSAM from their website. At this point it is anyone's guess if it will return but legally, they are not allowed to bake this in without referencing it somewhere. If they were to add it without any references, they are asking for a lawsuit. At least that is what I have read.
