Is the Stocks Widget Supposed to be in Dark Mode all the Time?

Noticed the stocks widget when along side others eg Calendar, notes, never changes from dark mode. It looks out of place from the others. This is on iPhone X, with latest beta. On my iPad the widget is dark mode but when I open it, it is displaying light mode. My stock widget on iPhone is displayed in dark mode all the time. Is this by design?

Yes, Stocks is always on a black background and has a black icon.

Yes, Stocks is always on a black background and has a black icon.

Thanks for that. Must just apply to iPhone? Black widget white background on my iPad Pro. Would look better changing with the light/dark mode theme IMHO.
