Hello, I am thinking of getting an iPhone 3gs.
I will be getting a free iPod touch with education discount, but I might sell it and buy an iPhone 3g s

I read up all about purplera1n and know that cydia works but some apps don't yet.

apparently Ultrasn0w works.

I already have a very good cheap contract with orange uk
(Unlimited data, texts, and 400 mins for £9 pm )

But will ultrasn0w definitely make the 3gs work with my orange sim ? and is it a bit dodgy, or is it perfected ? Will all calls and texts definitely come through ?

thanks

You might do some reading.

Many are reporting the Geohat JB/UL breaks their WiFi..... among other things.

thats what happens if you Ring them up after your first contract expires, and say that you want to cancel.

They were quick to ask why I was leaving, and I said the price.
Within seconds the person said
'I can offer you 400 mins, unlimited texts for £10 pm' and I was shocked. I asked for internet aswell (GREED coming out in me :D ) and then I was amazed that they accepted and added internet for same price.

Next thing I heard was ' As you've been on a contract with us for 18months now, i can take another 10% off this price. '

So it ended up £9 :D

maybe i should call AT&T!

maybe i should call AT&T!

maybe :D the pay monthly prices in america seem loads compared to the UK ones, however with bigger phones like iphone and android phones, our contracts are turning more like yours. getting dearer, with 18/24 month ones rather than the 12 which used to be standard in uk.
However i wont be one to complain ;)
good luck if you do ring up :p
