I plan on switching from AT&T to T-Mobile. Usually when you are porting an existing line to a new carrier, you get really good promos since these are considered very valuable. T-Mobile has a deal where my wife and I can get an iPhone 11 for free but I decided to hold off until this year's Black Friday for the iPhone 12 release. I just want to make sure I am making the right decision in waiting for the first major redesign.

Nothing is confirmed, but historically a change is due to the overall design.

Plus I think if they keep on with basically the same phone design but with another extra camera or something the media and even Apple die hards might start to publicly complain.

But who knows, it’s Apple after all. We can only hope.

There are plenty of rumours and so called 'leaks' to suggest there will be a design change but it's far to early to know how concrete these rumours and leaks are.

With rumors that the iphone se2 aka 8s will still use the same front design for 6 years in a row, i would not put my hopes high for a complete redesign

If you are interested in a iPhone 11, I think that it is not going to change next year, because maybe it would be the iPhone 11 Pro like it passed with iPhone 8 and iPhone X

Given that Apple is adding 5G and a fourth camera this year, there’s no chance of it keeping the same form factor.

Well, iPhone 6, 6s, 7, 8 (and soon 9) all use roughly the same form factor, so 4+ iterations of a design isn't unprecedented. The rumour is for a modest design change (squared off sides) though, so that's what I'd expect. If anything I could see the new Pro models being redesigned in this way while the regular 12 models look roughly like the X/XS/11 Pro but made of aluminium.

Front and back from 11 pro and band from 5s (that style - not exactly same)
I think that iphone 12 in case will look same as 11 pro

That's an odd question? Until Apple officially announces the iPhone 12 there is no way of knowing for sure.
As the announcement/release date (usually mid-September) draws in closer, the leaks tend to become more unanimous and accurate.

It's so early for Apple to be releasing 5G phones given the state of that technology right now. It's like they have to make a sub 6GHz & mmWave 5G iPhone for different carriers, aye? So, the implementation isn't even set to a single standard yet, but was horribly amused by someone's body blocking the overall weak signal from a 5G antenna in what I believe was a LTT video. Given that I live quite rurally, it's exceptionally unlikely that I will benefit from 5G for at least four or five years if I'm being conservative with my area's ability to even make usage of 5G tech given how far away the antennas for 4G LTE are.

I dunno. And anyways, I seriously hope they upgrade the minimum storage available because woohoo T-Mobile doesn't stock iPhones with anything more than 64 GB in their stores within a 100 mile radius of me(Los Angeles and California's Central Valley). And T-Mobile is just not good about returns to them if you order them online.

Naturally, I'm becoming quite inclined towards to just shrugging all this nonsense off and snagging between an iPhone 11 or iPhone Pro Max with a meaty storage capacity straight from Apple and hanging onto it for a few years if Apple doesn't substantially improve the design of the iPhone. I mean good grief, I am sick of this front facing camera array being a notch at the top(would be cool if they just made a thinner left to right bezel and increased the size of the top and bottom bezel to be symmetrical with one another, just my personal taste though. However, I am so thankful every day I use my iPhone for not having the abject horror of a hole punch camera embedded in the display like ol' Samsung has been doing with their 2019 phones.

Actually, this early in stage in the first quarter, most those ‘leaks’ you are referring to, is fan made art/renders. Until you start actually seeing physical chassis/internal parts, [which usually surfaces somewhere around May as a starting point], then you would have an idea of how the iPhone actually will look beforemass production in July 2020.

Hence why I said "so called" leaks

Just to backtrack, you said there are ‘plenty of rumors called leaks’ suggesting there will be design changes, nothing has been remotely ‘leaked’ whatsoever in terms of actual physical parts. Fan made art isn’t ‘leaks’, Nor are renders. Leaks are legitimate manufacturing pieces from production stages.

Just to back track again, I quite clearly said;

"There are plenty of rumours and so called 'leaks'"

"so called" implying these are not actually leaks but people claiming they are leaks:rolleyes:

"There are plenty of rumours and so called 'leaks'"

Except, you left out the part where you said...... suggesting there will be a design changes... there are no credible leaks suggesting they will be any design changes. Which is why I said manufacturing leaks are completely different from fan-made art/renders.
