I looking for a better way to find out which apps are more likely to cause problems while using the iPhone. Just reading the reviews doesn't seem to help.

I have downloaded and installed over 25 apps. Then my iPhone became progressively worse by crashing and/or locking up needing a complete restore which takes time and does you no good if you are not home or near your computer.

I have done a complete restore of the iPhone without adding any of the apps the I had previously downloaded. I am now adding one app at a time and running the iPhone for a day or two to see if it locks up. Trying to pin point which app is giving me the problems.

Is there a better way of doing this?

There shouldn't be apps that are giving he entire phone fits... It's probably something in the OS and you will probably start seeing problems on your phone at some magic number of apps or some magic size of space taken up by these apps.

I'm interested to see what you find.

Usually they should work.
After all, they are tested by Apple.
However, if it doesn't work for you, first try resetting your iPhone, then if that doesn't work, just restore.

By resetting, do you mean powering down the iPhone?
By restore, do you mean using iTunes to "restore" iPhone to it's original setting?

The problem that I have been having is that the iPhone locks up and the only way I can get it to work again is to go home and do a complete restore.

Maybe I don't know how to properly reset the iPhone when not at home. :(

To reset, hold down the off switch while holding down the home button.

Not everyday, more like every other day. It hasn't happen since I restored the iPhone back to original without any "new" apps installed. That is why I was wondering if it is/was a certain app causing me the problems.

Thanks, I did not know how about holding the home button at the same time.

Yeah - this should work for you and something you should do on a regular basis to your iPhone or after every new download of an app.

Now as far as bad apps like krapp, lame, strange, etc ... just visit our site :D
