Is there a correlation between battery health and battery life?

Because my battery health is at 85% but I feel like my battery life is only 1/3 of what it was new.

I have an iPhone 13 mini.

Low battery health (capacity) equates to less battery usage ability compared to new.

 

[now i see it]

iOS 80% battery health is intentionally misleading. 80% reported is actually more like 50% degraded in real world terms.
