Is there a good AAC encoder yet?

I want to start converting my music to AAC, but I can't find anything good to do it on OSX.

you can rip your cds into aac if you have quicktime pro, but it's kind of a roundabout process. i would suggest waiting until apple releases itunes 4 (which should happen by the end of the month), as it will include mp4 ripping capabilities.

I hope they include AAC ripping. It's been around for a long time now. I don't know why itunes 3 didn't have it. I was super pissed when it came out without it.
