I have a PC assigned to me by my work, but I mostly work on my iMac, and check the work PC occasionally to access the certain software & my work's intranet websites not accessible from my iMac. I am not allowed to install any software on the work PC. Is there a KVM-type of device that I can connect to the PC so that my iMac functions as its external monitor and keyboard/mouse?

It's not a huge hassle to physically log into my PC a couple of times a day but ... I've been doing this for years and it's getting a bit old, and am wondering if there is a technological solution.

Thanks.

Are you allowed to enable Remote Desktop service in Windows? If so, enable it, and connect to your Windows PC remotely from a Remote Desktop Client application on your iMac.

No. But thank you for the suggestion.

What you are looking for is something like this:

No software necessary. Simply connect USB and HDMI from Windows PC to this box. Then connect the box to your router or switch. You can then access your windows machine from any browser on your mac.

The keyword you are looking for is "KVM over IP".

Thanks! That's exactly what I need.
