I keep finding out you can do more and more with the track pad than I ever imagined which got me thinking that I'm probably missing out on some cool stuff I can do. So is there a list of gestures you can use on MacBooks?
The trackpad system preference pane has demonstrations of all the gestures, you can enable/disable them etc.
It's called that, but it actually also swipes between virtual desktop spaces, and it's immensely helpfulSwiping between full screen apps! I will give it a go in a bit
Hehe you discovered that yourself before I postedI'm going to have to learn all the nook and crannies - 3 finger swipe not foolproof - if more than one workspace, if not all full screen for all apps in a workspace then the 3 finger swipe takes the screen to the next workspace

Also, I like to have App Exposé turned on for swiping down with three fingers. It's super nice if you have, for example, 4 Safari windows open. Can quickly use Exposé to get to the right one. Like an app local version of Mission Control which is then up with three fingers instead
Haha, Mr. Casp - that's a new one, I like itHey Mr Casp,
How are you, long time!
Thanks for the info, I've play with it tommorow now. Will probably do it after work with my work desk - external monitor for the setting info screens etc. etc.
I'll have a lookDo you know anything about Time machine?
Any advice on my other post would really be appreciated
I personally changed those to 4 finger swipes, I find it easier to remember and therefore more natural and likely to be used.Swiping between full screen apps!
Awesome! I can use all the screen on the tiny 13" MBA
Not idiot proof though

And when you have investigated all the posts above, have a look at the paid app Better Touch Tool. It allows even more amazing stuff.I keep finding out you can do more and more with the track pad than I ever imagined which got me thinking that I'm probably missing out on some cool stuff I can do.
Keeps in mind though, the best trackpad gesture: 3 fingers drag, is not in there. You have to go into Accessibility to turn it on. Damn you Apple!Hiya,
Took me a few minutes to find this!

Moves windows around without having to grab them by the window decorator pane. What does the 3 finger drag do?!
Apologies, not in front of laptop at the moment, but would be good to know!
Best wishes

Drag and drop by 3 fingers. Not only dragging window as the guy above said but everything. Files, selection.. anything. Anything you can do with pressing and holding a mouse. What does the 3 finger drag do?!

I'm doing okay, cheers. Lots of uni work, lots of guitar, podcast recording - keeping myself busy
Thanks.
I'll have a look
Hiya Mr CAwesome. Thank you all so much. I'm so impressed with this MacBook Air. I'm only borrowing it from Mum for a short period but it has made me decide to pick up the MBP 16" when the Apple Silicone version is released.
The podcast I participate in is the MacGameCast - A games podcast from the perspective of Mac people. Available anywhere there's podcasts, basicallyHey what’s the details of your podcast? Be good to hear some guitar playing. The sound system I’ve got seems best for vocal and guitars, piano music et cetera
Yeah - Fortunately things are pretty good here. I'm back to uni in physical attendance with high vaccination rates so it's more or less normalised on that frontGlad you’re doing ok under these Covid times we are in.
It can’t be good for musicians, I imagine, who thrive on interactions with other musicians et cetera.
Hope you are prepared for the shock of how much the new 16 inch M1 MacBooks will cost!
I just don't understand how Apple can make a 1.1Ghz quad core Intel i5 actually feel like a fast computer. If I tried to run Windows on this it would kill it.The MBa is awesome bit if kit eh?! ?

I just got a new audio interface today, but if you wanna hear some of the (bad) music I've already recorded in the past, here you go
