Is there a microphone issue with AirPods Pro?

I picked up a pair of AirPods v2, but realized I might be happier with the noise cancelling from the AirPods Pro. But from research I found there’s a microphone issue with the Pro’s which is now holding me back from exchanging them for my v2’s.

Yes, happens on mine, they are just over a year old now, not that it should make any difference but I get a lot of comments about distortion, fading and so on over the past few months as I use them more due to working from home.

Actually starting to think about replacing them, probably going to go outside of Apple this time to see what there is.

I've had mine since they first came out and no one has complained or had trouble hearing me on phone calls. I don't use them on video conf calls as I have a home office and just use the webcam mike.
