Mobile OSs Is there a nice start up guide for Android app development?

There are tons of books i can get for iOS, but i do not have a mac.

Are there books that are written for an android newbie developer? (talking about apps, not ROMs).

There is plenty of help online from Google. Have you looked at any of that?

Yes i have, and I had to open up multiple tabs learning about stuff in detail from forums etc because i like to know my stuff in depth. The google tutorials are basically "start and go".

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Ive seen a large magazine several times at barnes and noble where the computer magazines are for Android development. Think its printed in the uk, its big.
