I'm using newsstand but if i'm not in a wifi spot it doesn't show anything. Is there an app that will update all the stories while I'm at home nd I can browse whiel I'm out. Instapaper is ok but I have to load each page individually then save.

Check out Byline ... I use and love this app ... 100% anti-KRAPPS Certified ... basically I sync/download articles in a wifi area and they are all saved for my reading pleasure when no wifi or connection is available ... here is the AppShopper link >> http://appshopper.com/news/byline

PS - app is very stable!

Byline was perfect. Exactly what I was after. Thanks for the recommendation.

Gazette also works offline and I replace Byline with it. It works so much better then Byline and is easier to use. Look here for more reviews and my posts.

Ive used all three, net news wire, gazette, and byline, as well as with some free ones like rss runner and i think its called black rss. Overall the best one IMO is net news wire. It seems to sync faster, and it has the coolest coverflow mode. The best free one is rss runner. It can sync to your google account if you want, actually all of the ones I listed can sync to your google account except black rss.

I think you are confusing NetNewsWire with NewsStand.

"Feeds" has all the same functions (and some more) as Byline and is much cheaper. It also syncs with Google reader which I think is vastly superior than having to install a desktop app for NetNewsWire (was driving me crazy).

Well I'm pretty impressed with byline but it would be nice to have a sync through the usb cab;e using your home pc instead of wifi. It takes a bit too long to download all the articles

FYI ... this is not possible with ANY app ... Apple does not allow developers to access the usb port for programming ... thus file saving apps like AirShare can only transfer via wifi

Yeah, I dig Byline ... it was one of the first advanced RSS apps released ... developer has supported it properly with updates ... I know there are many other excellent RSS apps, but since Byline was an original and I got it a long time ago, never really has any reason to switch.
