iPod Is there a separate installer to update iPod?

Hi,

I'm trying to update my iPod 5G to Version 1.2 using iTunes 7 but my internet service seems to have problems with Apple's iTunes Music Store servers and this update file seems to be hosted on that server. I can usually download stuff from Apple's regular download server (through Software Update or through their website) fine. So I was wondering if there was a separate installer that I could download to update my iPod to Version 1.2? Thanks.

I had to select 'restore' to force the iPod update. I ejected the iPod while the update downloded and did not have to go through the entire restore process.

There is no separate installer, apple.com says to go through iTunes 7.
