This is a long shot but the at&t ads say june 29 not the 29TH and 2+9=11 as in June 11th as in the first day of WWDC. How great would it be if SJ came out and said "we forgot the plus sign it is for sale TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wishful thinking my friend, that would rock!!!

Heh. Cute. Not happening.

Apple's press releases always use the "June 29" format for dates. WWDC is taking place "on Monday, June 11, 2007 at San Francisco’s Moscone West." I guess that means it started five days ago?

Once the masses have been told about the date there's no way anything but a catastrophic earthquake in San Francisco is changing it.

Thats a huge stretch... however just for fun if you look at the images used for the first three ads that were posted they are all labeled:

20070612.jpg

2007 June 12th

All of the images on Apple have traditionally used the date the product is released or announced (put online). Thats the only exception I have seen.

(The new ad uses todays date BTW)

Interesting but the only thing that makes me want to believe it will be early is my own wishful thinking.

Yeah, I can see it now. People showing up to stores on the 29th and the clerk telling them, "yeah, that date was just a prank for the few people on the internet. The actual date was 11th and we are already all sold out of them, sorry."

yea...
