I'm doing an initial Backblaze backup of around 6TB total. After 2 weeks of non-stop backing up, it's completed 1.3TB or 650GB / week.

If it doesn't speed up, it will take roughly 2 months total or 6 more weeks for my initial backup to complete. My performance settings are:
Manual Throttle: Faster Backups
Backup Threads: 1
Schedule: Continuously
* The thread setting is the default "1 (recommended )" of the Backblaze app.

Related info
ISP : centurylink
Speed: 1GBps
Macbook connection: Ethernet

Are there any hacks to get the backup to go faster? I read Backblaze's knowledge articles and didn't find anything there that I was not already doing.

That's about 8 Mbps, which is good for an inexpensive unlimited services. My last major crashplan (home) backup took months.

Backblaze seems to be checking system resources and making a recommendation. In my case it recommends 6 threads:

This message seems to say that Backblaze can saturate your internet connection, implying that there is no upload restrictions other than those imposed by your system hardware.

I would try bumping up the number of threads while monitoring system resources: cpu, memory, and just the backblaze portion of network activity,

What is your ISP's upload capacity? I have a fast downloads, but just 10 Mbps uploads.
