iPhone Is there a way to create a shortcut to close an app?

Is there a way to shut an app down using Shortcuts? I tried getting Siri to shut down Waze (so I would not have to reach for my iPhone when driving and finished using the app in CarPlay) but Siri says it can't close apps. I tried the Shortcut app in iOS 13 but can't see a way to do it.

YMMV, but if you're talking about a FaceID phone it wouldn't seem worthwhile to me. What I do is swipe up from the bottom and pause in the middle(ish) of the screen, then flick up to close the most recent app or swipe sideways to get to a previously open app and then flick up to close.

If you turn on Voice Control you can create a custom word that controls a custom gesture that can swipe up to open the task switcher and then continues swiping up to close out the app.
