I want it so that I don't see the "Tweet" button in Safari, Maps etc.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4S: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

I think the best you can do is not sign your account into the Twitter for iOS option under Settings.

all you can do is not sign in to the twitter integration, i never have, but you still end up with Tweet links everywhere, no way to remove them.

This is my biggest annoyance with iOS 5. Whether I'm in Photos, Safari, etc. I don't need six different links for the option screen.

Either let us remove some, or put it on something like a scroll wheel.

Maybe when the ios 5 have untethered jailbreak, some guy will make some add-ons to hide those annoy links.
