Is there a way to donate sth. for foxconn workers?

Hi,
we all know about the working conditions at foxconn. Personally I think this is wrong and I definitely expect Apple to do better. Some time ago I read that a additional 0.20EUR/0.25$ for a H&M shirt could ensure that every worker would be paid at least 'adequately'. Seriously, this is ridiculous. Those people had bad luck to be born in that region and I don't understand Americans or Europeans say 'If they don't like their jobs, they should just quit' or 'it's the responsibility of Apple to change that'(I think it's the responsibility of society).In my eyes they're more or less forced labourer assembling an extremely luxury device for me.
Feeling really uncomfortably about this, I wonder if there's a way to help the worker at foxconn. E.g. does any organisation offer the possibility to donate direct for foxconn people?

I've never heard anything that stupid.

These people have jobs. They have jobs at Foxconn, which pays about the highest wages for that kind of job that you will find anywhere in China. They come from villages where people have no money, work hard for two years at Foxconn, and when they return they are the richest person in the village. If you wanted to donate, you would want to donate to the people in China who _don't_ have jobs at places like Foxconn.

And you mention H&M shirts. God, do you know nothing? Foxconn pays a fortune compared to the wages in the textile industry. There are plenty of people working in sweatshops in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh who would think they arrived in paradise if they could land a job at Foxconn.

Please tell me more how this makes a valid argument. They are the richest of the village? Great, but they are still not rich. Can they provide food and health care for their families? Do they receive any retirement pay? Did you here about massive overtime practices at foxconn?
Why this donation would make sense? Well, I think it is important to give a feedback to Apple/industry that there are customers who care about ethics and working conditions and are willing to spend a tiny bit more for people who are not that lucky to live in a first world country.

I must admit I laughed hard at your logic. The existence of people whose working conditions are even worse don't justify the abuse of other people.
Not long ago the US used exactly the same 'argument' to justify slavery of Africans. Do you notice something?

You do not understand economics...clearly.

I live in China, actually..Yes, the people there at Foxconn make $500 a month or so. Did you know it's actually possible to live pretty decently in China on $5 a day? Plus, they have housing, healthcare, etc. included.

It's a far better place to work than their alternatives, which is why people line up for days to get a chance to work there.

The kids working at Foxconn send all their money home. They need virtually nothing to live on while at work. Most of them are there for 3-4 years, then they will go back to live in their village, having earned enough for the family for the next 10 years or so...
