Hello I tried what was mentioned (going to disable shortcuts on keyboard) but it didn’t work. The floating box is still there in front of my text all the time Or in front of something. What an awful addition

PS I think it only appears if you’re using an external keyboard.

Do you mind taking a screenshot of the floating keyboard? I've never seen this before-
 
This worked for me:
Go to settings > Apple Pencil > slide down to scribble, if on then turn off.

I believe they are referring to this…

But it can always be swiped over to the side to not interfere with text.

Yes I am referring to that but even when I swipe it it’s still in the way of things that matter depending on the website/content.


I don’t understand why it can’t be sent up to the top of the screen at least or just disabled entirely. It’s in the way and doesn’t help me at all

But you can disable it all together.. by doing this below.
