Hi, is there a way to get my optical drive and power cord to fail on purpose?

Here's why I'm asking - my applecare ends soon and I have constant problems with my Powerbook's superdrive. I'll occasionally put a dvd in and it just spins and spins and won't read etc. When I take it in to the apple store, they can never duplicate the problem and I can never get it repaired.
Is there a way I can make SURE it will fail for them? (without voiding the warranty of course)

Also, my powercord is flaky, but again, everytime they take a look at it they say it's fine.

I just know that the day my applecare ends both the superdrive and powercord are going to die.

Thanks for any advice.

I don't know why people ask these things on here... If you must go about purposefully damaging your computer, I say just drop it HARD but on like a rug where it can't dent.
