When you hold the power button, the slide to emergency call is super dominant and my brain wants to slide it as I associate the color red with power off. I hate this "feature" so much. Is there any way to remove the SOS Emergency Call?

In Watch app Settings > Emergency SOS there is option to turn off the 'Hold side Button to Dial'. I have it turned off as I have a data-only SIM card.

This doesn't work. The setting you're referring to is for actually for calling emergency services by holding the button. I know this because when I was doing dips at the gym a few days ago, I accidentally triggered it and the watch began making a noise to dial emergency services in a certain amount of time.

Even without a SIM you should still be able to dial emergency services in most civilized countries.

I know one person with bad eyesight that triggered this feature and was unable to stop the process before it triggered. All due to not being able to see the screen clearly.
