Is there a way to report apps to Apple?

Is there a way to report an application to Apple (without owning that app)? I've seen some companies use some pretty unethical methods of selling apps (like saying the app is 90% off for a week, but saying that for over 17 months).

Perhaps I can't see properly, but could you please explain where I can find that button? I've checked all over the place in iTunes.

Also note that I'd like to be able to report a problem without purchasing an app (I'm aware that I can report a problem with a purchase on iTunes).

I don't think you can do it through iTunes, but you can do it from the App Store on your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.

In iTunes you have to go into your account and then into purchase history. There is a report a problem button at the bottom of the page.

Took me forever to find when I had a problem with an app.

just wondering -- is it a violation of Apple's Developer Program TOS to leave an app on sale for longer than originally stated? I mean, I get that it's kind of a grey area I guess to say something's on sale when that's the original price, but I don't think this kind of problem is unique to the app store...infomercials do it all time with their "one-time tv offer if you call in the next 20 minutes" approach when really that's the price you pay now or later. Plus, why would you really want Apple to force a developer to raise the price on any app whether you intended to buy it or not?

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for ethical business practices, it just seems to me that reporting someone for advertising a sale for longer than they said it would go on for would really result in no action from Apple and distract them from real problems (like finding apps that steal personal info and taking them down, etc.).

If Apple doesn't take action, I'm fine with that. I just wanted to make sure Apple was aware that this was going on. To me, it ruins the app store experience when companies lie to their customers like that.

I'm a musician and sell my own CDs, and I could never lie and say my CDs were 15% off when they weren't. Unethical practices like that will just lose customers in my opinion.

And I have no idea if it's against Apple's TOS. It's definitely frowned upon, but it might not break any rules.

Reminds me of something funny when I was at Target a while back...

The Nintendo WiiMote has always retailed for $39.99. I was at a target and there was a big sign like on all the sale items that said: "As advertised $39.99!". I had to do a double-take. I was like, "sweet! On sale!" but before I picked it up I looked at the price and realized that it was exactly the same.

I realize "As Advertised" != "On Sale" but the way it was displayed was sure confusing.
