I have the M1 MBP 13" if it makes a difference. I'm on a United Airlines flight and just purchased the internet for $10. I need to use my phone for a second to get some info off it through an app. I go to get online with the phone and they want another $10. Which is total BS. Is there a means to leave my mbp connected to the internet and share the connection with my iphone so I can log into an app?

It's not possible to both have your Mac connected to the internet via WiFi and share it's connection (act as a WiFi hotspot) at the same time, unfortunately. It is possible to use your Mac as a wifi hotspot, but only if it's own connection to the internet is through Ethernet...

Funny thing is that this IS possible on a windows 10 machine. Don't know why you can't do it on a mac.

United charges for each wifi device connected. But if you tie the purchase to your Mileage Plus account when you buy, you can switch the wifi between your devices without having to pay again.

I’m platinum and it didn’t want to work.
