Is there a way to stop it from going back to the desktop screen

I've been installing a lot of games today and I am using Safari in fullscreen. Every time a message pops up, it just snaps from fullscreen to the desktop. This has been happening a lot recently (not just installing games) and it is really annoying. For example, I had an online chat open and was trying to switch between pages. As soon as I tried to click the tab, it closed it because it was snapping back to the desktop.

I'm not experiencing the same issue. Perhaps the other seventeen viewers and possibly the next 2000 aren't either?
