Steam does not indicate if a crossplatform game's demo will also work on Mac. So far I found out through trial and error that the demos for Braid and Quantz do not work for Mac, but the Torchlight one does.

Is there a way to tell? Am I overlooking something?

Thank you.

In the lower left corner should be icons, a windows one indicates it plays on windows, a Mac one indicates it plays on OSX. Then there is SteamPlay icon that indicates it is a buy once play on both. Also clicking SteamPlay icon will bring up a list of SteamPlay games.

Do you mean the lower right, right above the price? There's the Windows and Mac icons there for Torchlight, Braid and Quantz--the Steamplay icon as well. On the very bottom left there's system requirements for Windows and Mac for Quantz and Braid, but not Torchlight. And yet Torchlight is the only game whose demo runs on Mac.
