Just like with iTunes 7, the only way to use one of the non-default interfaces in iTunes is to browse music inside the "Library" pane. But I have a huge collection of music stored on my iPod, and I want to be able to use Coverflow and Grid with the "Devices" pane without having to dump it all onto my desktop drive. Is there a way around this?

I tried mounting my iPod as an external drive and pointing my iTunes library folder to it, didn't work. Same when I use a freeware utility to browse my iPod's contents in OSX and mount it that way. Any other ideas?

Thanks. :)
