Is there a way to have my MacBook act like an AppleTV/iPod so that when I connect to my 802.11n network, my Mac Pro will sync some music/movies to it?

I don't purchase content from iTunes, so DRM isn't an issue. But is there some software that will make it work like this?

In iTunes Preferences, you can share your iTunes Library, but I don't know about syncing. If you can authorize a certain number of computers I would think there would be an option to sync.
